RESOLUTION NO. 2032
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE WORK OF MOFFATT & NICHOL.. INC... UNDER
CONTRACT DATED AUGUST 21~ 1956~ PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION
NO. 1975 OF SAID CITY.. AND AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT THEREFOR.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS~ under date of August 21~ 1956~ a contract was
entered into with Moffatt and Nichol~ Inc. ~ for investigating the possibility
of widening the Soto Street Bridge in the City of Vernon~ as approved by
Resolution No. 1975; and
WHEREAS~ Harold A. Barnett~ Consulting Engineer of the
City of Vernon~ has reported to the City Council under date of March 1~
1957~ that said firm of Moffatt & Nichol~ Inc. ~ has complied with the
requirement of said contract above-mentioned~ and recommends payment
of the demand submitted by Moffatt & Nichol>> Inc. ~ for the sum of
$2~ 398.51 for work done under said contract;
NOW.. THEREFORE.. BElT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the demand of Moffatt & Nichol~ Inc. ~
18 in the sum of $2~ 398.51 for work performed under contract dated August 21~
19 1956~ and approved by Resolution No. 1975~ be~ and the same is hereby
20 approved and authorized to be paid.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
22! certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
23 same shall be in full force and effect.
