RESOLUTION NO. 2044
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE FURNISIllNG AND DELIVERY OF TWO ELECTRIC
MOTOR DRIVING UNITS~ ONE UNIT EACH FOR WELLS NO.4 AND
NO. 5 IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 206 HERETOFORE
APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS. under date of December 4.. 1956. Layne & Bowler
Pump Company was awarded the contract for the furnishing and delivery of
two electric motor driving units. one unit each for Wells No.4 and No.5.
in accordance with Spe.cificationsNo. 206 of said City; and
WHEREAS. Harold A. Barnett.. Consulting Engineer.. has
reported to the City Council under date of April 5.. 1957.. that the equipment
has been received and installed in a satisfactory manner. and recommends
that it be accepted;
NOW.. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the furnishing and delivery of two electric
motor driving units. one unit each for Wens No.4 and No. 5 by La.yne&
Bowler Pump Company be.. and the same are hereby accepted as being
satisfactory and in accordance with Specifications No. 206 heretofore
approved by the City Council;
SECTION 2:
There is now due Layne & Bowler Pump Compan
the sum of $10.895.04. being 90% of the contract price. and the balance of
$1.2.10..56 shall he paid afterthirty-five .(35) days;
SECTION 3:
The City Council hereby directs payment of
$10.. 895. 04 to Layne & Bowler Pump Company. upon the adoption of this
resolution.. and the balance of $.1.210.56. thirty-five (35) days after the date
of the adoption of this resolution.
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
