RESOLUTION NO. 2045
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING A DEED FROM THE AMERICAN BRAKE SHOE COMPANY
TO A PORTION OF SAN ANTONIO RANCHO" FOR STREET PURPOSES,
(DOWNEY ROAD).
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, The American Brake Shoe Company has granted
to the City of Vernon a parcel of land being a portion of San Antonio Rancho..
as shown on map recorded in Book 1, page 389 of Patents.. in the .office
of the Recorder of Los Angeles County, for street purposes, described as:
That portion of that certain 17 foot strip of land
in the San Antonio Rancho.. as shown on map recorded
in Book 1.. page 389 of Patents.. in the office of the
Recorder of the County of L.os Angeles.. described in
deed to San Pedro.. Los Angeles .& Salt Lake Railroad
Company recorded in Book 6219, page .84 of Deeds, in the
office of said recorder. within a strip of land 20 feet wide,
the easterly line of which is parallel with and 40 feet
westerly.. measured at right angles.. from the easterly . line
of that certain 40 foot strip of land described in deed to
County of Los Angeles for public road and highway purposes
recorded in Book 7270.. page 46 of aaidDeeds,
18 and
19 WHEREAS.. said description has been checked by the Englneering
20 Department of the City of Vernon.. and said deed has been approved as to
21 form by Carson B. Hubbard.. City Attorney.. and it is recommended that x
22 I said Deed be accepted;
23 NOW" THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:

The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
SECTION 1:
accepts the aforesaid Deed from The American Brake Shoe Company.. to-
gether with the property conveyed thereby, and directs the recording of said
Deed with the County Recorder of said Los Angeles County.. California.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the pas.sageof this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
