RESOLUTION NO. 2047
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY .oF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF CROWN BODY AND C.oACH CORP.oRATION
FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF ONE 1750 GALLON PER
MINUTE TRIPLE COMBINATION PUMPER IN ACCORDANCE WITH
SPECIFICATIONS NO. 210 HERETOFORE APPROVED BY THE. CITY
OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNONRESOL VES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS. on the 2nd day of April. 1957. at 2 o'clock p. m...
sealed bids were opened for the furnishing and delivery of one.1750 gallon
per minute triple combination pumper for use of the .FireDepartment.
in accordance with Specifications No. 210 of said City; and
WHEREAS. L. C. Husted. Fire Chief of the City. of. Vernon.
reports to the City Council under date of April 10. 1957. that the bid of
Crown Body and Coach Corporation.. in the sum of $29.671. 58 plus sales
tax of $1..186. 86. or a total of $30.858.44. was the lowest bid received
meeting the hid requirements. and recommends that said bid be accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
19 does hereby authorize the execution of a contract with Crown Body and Coach
20 Corporation for one 1750 Gallon Per Minute Triple Combination Pumper
21 fora total price of $30.858.44.. delivery to be made within one hundred
22 eighty (180) days after the execution of this contract. in accordance with
23 Specifications .No. 210 approved by Resolution No. 2033 of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That all other bids are hereby rejected.. and
the City Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks to
unsucces.sful. bidders.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall he in full force and effect.
