RESOLUTION NO. 2058
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF ADDITION AND ALTERATIONS
TO VERNON CITY HALL.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, Thomas F. Smith, Contractor, was awarded the
7 contract for the construction o[additionand alterations to Vernon City
8 Hall; and
9 WHEREAS, under date of May 10,1957. BreoFreeman" Architect
10 has reported to the City Council that the said Thomas F. Smith has completed
11 the construction work in accordance with Specifications No. 187 and Plans
12 No. B15-1357. in a satisfactory manner.
13 NOW ~ THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLYED:

SECTION 1:
That the construction of addition and altera-
15 tions to Vernon City Hall for the City of Vernon be. and the same is hereby
16 accepted as being satisfactory and in accordance with Specifications heretofor
17 approved by Resolution No. 1904. subject to withholding of aU monies due

18 Thomas F. Smith from the City of Vernon until he has filed with the City
19 Clerk a release of all stop payment orders and further. the City Treasure.r
20 shall withhold the sum of $1.. 000. 00 until such time as Smith shan have
21 repaired or replaced the ceramic tile floor of the lavatory in the police
22 building.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage .of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
sa.meshall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 21st day of May, 1957.
