RESOLUTION NO. 2061
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITy OF VERNON
ACCEPTING A DEED FROM JOHN DEERE KILLEFER COMPANY TO A
PORTION OF THE 500 ACRE TRACT OF LOS ANGELES FRUIT LAND
ASSOCIATION, FOR STREET PURPOSES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREASsJohn Dee.re Killefer Company has granted to the
City of Vernon a parcel of land known as a portion of the 500 Acre Tract of
the Los Angeles Fruit Land Association for street purposes, said property
described as:
The westerly 20 feet of the easterly 40 feet
of Lot.s 50 and 51, 500 Acre Tract of the Los Angeles
Fruit Land Association, as shown on map recorded
in Book 3, pages 156 and 157 of MiscellaneouS Recordss
in the office of the Recorder of the County of Los
Angeles.
Excepting therefrom that portion thereof within
the northerly 250 feet of said Lot 50.
WHEREAS, said description has been checked by the Engineer-
ing Department of the City of Vernon, and said deed has been approve.d as to
form by Carson B. Huhbard, City Attorne.y,; and it is recommended that said
Deed he accepted;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
21 accepts the aforesaid Deed from John Deere Killefer Company dated March
22 21s 1957, together with the property conveyed thereby, and directs the recor
23 ing of said Deed with the County Recorder of Los Angeles County, California.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 4th day of June, 1957.
