RESOLUTION NO. 2065
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHORIZING THE. EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH RODDING-
CLEANING MACHINES, INC.:I FOR CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
SERVICE OF SEWER LINES IN THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREASs Harold A. Barnetts Consulting Engineer of the
City of Vernon.. has reported to the City Council under date of May 27.. 1957,.
relative to cleaning and cleaningmaintenances:ervice .of sewer lines in the
City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS.. the City Council finds that it is advisable to enter
into a contract for the cleaning and maintenance.of said sewers; and
WHEREASs HaroldA.Barnetts Consulting Engineers has
presented a prop.osal covering complete cleaning and cleaningmaintenace
service submitted by Rodding-Cleaning l\iIachiness Inc. s 7827 Melrose
Avenue. Los Angeles 46,. California. and recommends that the Agreement
be entered into for such service; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Vernon has approved
said contract as to form;
NOW ,THEREFORE;, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the Mayor and City Clerk bes and they are
hereby authorized to enter into a tw.o-year contract with Rodding-Cleaning
Machines. Inc... for complete cleaning and c1eaningmaintenance service .of
sewer lines of the City of Vern.on at a contract price .of $13s 6.20.06 per year..
plus any payment over $40.00 a day to Los Angeles Transit Lines during the
period necessary to clean the36/f sewer in Vernon Avenue between Santa Fe
Avenue and Alameda Street.
SECTION 2:
The City.Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify
to the passage.of thisres.olution and thereupon and thereafter the same shan
