A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTIN(j THE CONSTRUCTION OF ASPHALT CONCRETE WEARING
SURFACE IN 2.6TH STREET FROM APPROXIMATELY 800 FEET EAST
4 OF SOTO STREET TO DOWNEY ROAD IN ACCORDANCE WITH
SPECIFICATIONS NO. 212 OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, on June 4,; 1957, G.G.FisherPaving Company
was awarded the contract for theco.nstructionof.asphalt conCrete wearing
s.urface in 26th Street in accordance with Specifications .No. 212 of said
City; and
WHEREASs HaraldA. Barnett.. Consulting Eng:i.neer, hasre-
ported to the CityCounciLunder date of July lL 1957, that the said G. G.
Fisher Paving Company .has completed the work in accordance with
.' Specifications No. 2J2 in a satisfactory manner,. and recommends .that said
work be accepted;
NOW" THEREFORE" BE. IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That theconst ructionof asphalt concrete
wearing surface in 26th Street from approximately 800 feet east of 80to
Street to Downey ,Road be, and the same is hereby accepted as heing satis-
factory and in accordance with Specifications No. 212 heretoforeapproV'ed
by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That there is now due G. G.Fisher Paving
Co:mpanythe sum of $4,212.43.. being 90'0 of the contract prices and the
balance, .0rIO% of the contract price, being the sum of$468.04, shall he
paid to. said G. G. Fisher Paving .Co:mpanyafter35 days.
SECTION 3.:
The City Council of the City .of Vernon
hereby.dlrects paymem of $4, 212.43 to G.G. .Fisher Paving Company upon
the adoption of this resolution and the balance, or $468. 04, 35 days after
the date of the adoption of this resolution.
