RESOLUTION NO. 2074
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NOTICE. INVITING SEALEDPRO:POSALS
OR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT
RESURFACING IN LEONIS BOULEVARD, .FROM PACIFIC BOULEVARD TO
DOWNEY ROAD# IN THE CITY OF VERNON~IN ACCORDANCE WITH
SPECIFICATIONS NO. 2.14 OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
The Gity .Clerkof the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to give notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the
construction of asphalt concrete pavement resurfacing in Leonis Boulevard",
from Pacific Boulevard to Downey ,RoadJl in the City.of Vernon.. inaccor-
dance with.SpeciflcatiellS No... 214 approved by Resolution No.2073s and
the .Notice Inviting Sealed .Proposals contained in said Specifications No. 214.
SECTI0N 2:
There being no newspaper .ofgeneral cir-
culaiion printed.. published and circulated in the City of Vernon. the City
.Clerk is hereby.directed to post said notice.. or cause the same to be posted..
in three of the most pul?lic places in said Citys to wit: the northwest corner
of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast ~corner of Leonis Boule...
vard and Pacific BoulevardJl and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City
Hall of the City of Vernons located at 43.05 Santa Fe Avenue in said City.
SECTION 3:
The first posting.ofsaid notice shall be not
less than ten (10).. days before the date of opening bids for the proposed
work.
The not.!ce shall distinctly state the work
to he done and the material to be furnished.
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City .of Vernon shan
certify to the passage- of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafterthe
