RESOLUTION NO. 2076
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF C. O.SPARKS, INC. AND MUNDO ENGINEER-
ING CO. A JOINT VENTURE OF CALIFORNIA CORPORATIONS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT RESURFACING IN
SANTA FE AVENUE FROM PACIFIC BOULEVARD TO THE SOUTH CITY
BOUNDARY IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 2.13 OF SAID
CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS.. on the 6th day ,of August" 1957" at2 otclock p. m."
sealed bidS' were opened for the construction of asphalt concrete pavement
resurfacing in Santa Fe Avenue from Pacific Boulevard to the South City
Boundary in accordance with Specifications No. 213 of said City; and
WHEREAS" under date of AUgLI.Ht 8" 1957" HaroldA. Barnetts
Consulting Engineers recommended to the CityCouncH that the bid of
C.O. Sparks Inc. and Mundo Engineering Co. a joint venture of California
Corporations" be accepted;
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City.council of the City of
Vernon does hereby accept the bid of C.O. .sparks Inc. and Mundo Engineer""
ing Co." a joint venture of California Corporations" for the construction
of asphalt concrete pavement resurfacing in Santa Fe Avenue in. accordance
with Specifications No. 213 and does hereby authorize the execution of a
contract with said contractors.
SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejecteds and the
City.Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to r.eturn all checks to unsucces -
fulbidders.
SECTION 3:
Th~ City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon
and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
