RESOLUTION NO. 2078
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF C. O. SPARKS, INC. AND MUNDO ENGINEERING
CO. .A JOINT VENTURE OF CALIFORNIA CORPORATIONS FOR THE CON-
STRUCTION OF ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT RESURFACING IN
LEONIS BOULEVARD FROM PACIFIC BOULEVARD TOOOWNEY ROAD IN
ACCORDANCE WITH SPEOFICA TIONS NO. 214 OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS~ on the 20th day of August" 1957~ at2 o'clock p.m.."
s.ealed bids were opened for the construction of asphalt concrete pavement
resurfacing in Leonis Boulevard from Pacific Boulevard to DOWlleyRoad
in accordance with Specifications No. 214 of said City; and
WHEREASs under date of August 21s 1957s Harold A. Barnetts
Consulting Eng:i.neers recommended to the City Council that the bid of
C.O. Sparks Inc." and Mundo Engineering Co. a joint venture of California
Corporatlonss be accepted;
NOWa THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City.of Vernon
does hereby accept the bid of C. O.Sparks Inc. and Mundo Engineering Co."
a joint venture of California Corporations" for the construction of asphalt
concrete pavement resurfacing in Leonis Boulevard from Pacific Boulevard
to Downey Road in accordance with Specifications No. 214 and does hereby
authorize the execution of a contract with said contractors.
SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejecteds and the City
Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks to unsuccessful
bidders.
SECTION 3.:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
directed to certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and there-
after the same shall he in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED at an adjourned regular meeting this
27th day of Augt,lsts 1957.
