A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF ASPHALT PAVEMENT RE-
SURFACING IN SANTA FE AVENUE FROM PACIFIC BOULEVARD TO
4 THE SOUTH CITY BOUNDARY IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS
NO. 213 OF SAID CITY.

6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS" on .August 20" 1957.. C. O. Sparkss Inc... and Mundo
8 Engineering Co.." a joint venture of California corporations" were awarded
9 the contract for the construction of asphalt pavement resurfacing in Santa
10 Fe Avenue from Pacific Boulevard to the South City Boundary in accordance
11 With Specifications No. 213 of said City; and
12 WHEREAS.. Mason" Muntz & Associatess Consulting Engineers of
13 the City of Vernon.. have reported to the City Council under date of
14 September 10s 1957 that the said C. O. Sparkss Inc. and Mundo Eng~neering
15 Go. have completed the work in accordance with Specifications NQ. 213 in
16 a satisfactory manner.. and recommend that said work be accepted;
17 NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the construction of asphalt pavement re-
surfacing in Santa Fe Avenue from Pacific Boulevard to the south city
boundary be~ and the same is hereby accepted as being satisfactory and in
accordance with Specifications No. 213 heretofore approved by the City.of
Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That there is now due C. O. Sparkss Inc.. and
Mundo Engineering Co. s the sum of $7.; .144.63, being 90% of the contract
price, and the balances or 10% of the contract price, being the sum of
$793.85s shall be paid to said C. O. Sparks and Mundo Engineering Co.
after thirty-five (35) days.
SECTION 3:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
directs payment of$7s144. 63 to C. O. Sparks and Mundo Engineering. Co. "
upon the adoption of this resolution and the balance, or $793.85s thirtyr-five
(35) days after the date of the adoption of this resolution.

SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
2 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
3 same shall be in full force and effect.
4 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 17th day of September~ 1957.
