RESOLUTION NO. 2087
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BroS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ASPHAL.T CONCRETE PAVE-
MENT RESURFACING AND APPURTENANCES IN SOTO STREET SOUTH
OF FRUITLAND AVENUE AND NORTH OF THE SOUTH CITY BOUNDARY.
IN THE CITY OF VERNON. IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO.
207 OF SAID CITY AND ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT DRAWINGS NO.
.A4-1396 AND A4-142.1.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby directed to give notice inviting sealed proposals or birls for the
construction of a.sphalt concrete pavement resurfacing .and appurtenances' in
Soto Street South of Fruitland Avenue and :north of the south city boundarys
in the City of Vern()n# in accordance with Specifications No. 207 and Engineer
ingDepartment Drawings No. A4-1396 and A4-14211 and the Notice Inviting
Sealed Proposals contained i.n said Specifications .No. 207 .
SECTION 2:
There being no newspaper of general cir-
culation printeds published and circulated in the City .of Vernon.. the City
Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice, or cause the same to be postedl
in three of the most public places in said City" to wit: the northwest corner
.
of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast corner of Leonis Boule-
vard and Pacific Boulevard# and on the bulletin board in the lobby ()f the
City Hall of the City of Yernonl located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenve in said City.
SECTION 3:
The first posting of said notice shall be
not less than ten (10) days before the date of opening bids for the proposed
work.
The notice shall distinctly state the work to be done and the
materials to be furnished.
SECTION 4:
The City.Clerkof the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resoluiionand thereupon and thereafter the
