RESOLUTION NO. 2090
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ApPROVING MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND
VARIOUS OTHER CITIES AND COUNTY TERRITORY IN THE. 1ST REGIONAL
4 DISTRICT OF THE STATE OF CALfii'ORNIA~ CIVIL DEFENSE REGION.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

7 WHEREAS~ leg.al authorization has been granted bylew.slative
8 enactment (Chapter 323~ Statutes of 1941, and Chapter 1" Statutes of 1942)
9 whereby theCity~of Vernon may cooperate with,other political entities
10 when an emergency exists;
11 NOW" THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
Pursuant to the prQvisions .of Chapter 323,
13 Statutes of 1941 and Chapter!, Statutes .of 1942~ the Fire Chief of the. City
14 . of Vernon~ orin his absence or inability to act. then his authorized repre-
15 sentative, 'be, and he is he rebyauthoriz ed and directed to use the equipment
16 a.ndperaonnelof the Department, or theperso11l1el of the City of Vernon
17 Fire Department under his supervisionorcontrol~ or such part there()f~ as
18 and when he may deem it necessary or advisable~ for the purpose of co-
19 operating withthe.Fire Departments of the following.cities: Huntington
20 Park, South Gate, Bell, Whittier, Lynwood~ Montebello~ Compton~Maywood,
21 Downey~ and the unincorporated territory of Los AngelesCounty~ orthe
22 Fire Departments of any neighboring city or county within the1at Region.al
23 District of the. State of California. Civil Defense Region.
