RESOLUTION NO. 2.105
A RESOLUTION OF THJSCITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT
RESURFACING IN LEONIS BOULEVARD FROM PACIFIC BOULEVARD TO
4 DOWNEY ROAD IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 21.4 OF
SAID CITY .

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS on August 27 ~ 1957, C. O.Sparks, Incorporated
and Mundo Engineering Company~a joint venture of California corporations~
were awarded the.contract for the conatructionQf asphalt concrete pavement
resurlacing in Le.onia Boulevard, from Pacific Boulevard to Downey Road~
in accordance with Specifications No. 214 of said City; and
WHEREAS, Mason, Muntz & Aasociates~ Consulting Engine era
of the City. of Vernon, have reported to the City Council under dateof'
November 8, 1957 ~ that said contractors have completed the work in
accordance with Specifications .No. 2.14 ina satisfactory manner~ and
recommend that said work be accepted;
NOW" THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the construction of asphalt pavement re-
surfacing in Leonia Boulevard. from Pacific Boulevard to Downey Road, he
and the same is hereby accepted as being satisfactory and in accordance
with Specifications No. 214 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That there is now dueC. Q.Sparks, Inc. and
Mundo Engineering Go... the sum of $10.585.30, heing 90% of the contract
price, and the balance, or 10% of the contract price, being the sum of
$1.176.14 shan: he paid after thirty-five (35) days.
SECTION 3:
The City Council of theCitYQf VernOn hereby
directs payment of $10,585..30 toC. O. Sparks and Mundo Engineering Co.
upon the adoption of this resolution and the balance~ of $1~ 176.14, thirty-five
(35) days after the date of the adoption of this resolution.
