RESOLUTION NO. 2115
A RESOL.UTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF SMITH BOOTH USHER. COMPANY, DIVISION
OF WESTERN MACHINERY COMPANY. FOR THE FURNISHING AND
DELIVERY OF A ROOM TYPE MOBILE CRANE AND ACCESSOlUES.
IN ACCORDANCE WlTH SPECIFICATlONS NO. 218 OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNClL OF.THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS,. on the3rd day of December,. 1957. at 2 olclock
p.m.. sealed bids were opened for the furnishing and delivery of one boom
type mobile crane and accessories in accordance with Specifications No.
218 of said City; and
WHEREAS" under date of December 11,. 1957" Mason" Muntz
&.. Associates,. Consulting Engineers. submitted a letter to the City Council
stating that the bid of Smith Booth Usher Company was the lowest bid
received meeting the bid requirements:. and recommended that said bid
he accepted;
NOW.. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does herebyauthoriz~ the execution ofa contractwithSmlth Booth Usher
Company~ Division of Western Machinery Company" for the furnishing and
delivery of a. boom type mohUecraneand accessories" in accordance with
.
Specifications .No. 218. for the total price of $14...2.00.00.
SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected. and the
City Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks to
unsuccessful bidders.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Reaolutionand thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 17th da.y of Decemher. 1957.
