A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTING THE BID OF VERNON PAVING CO. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF ASPHALT CONCRETE PAVEMENT RESUR.FACING IN WASHINGTON
4 BOULEVARD WEST OF DOWNEY ROAD IN ACCORDANCE WITH
SPECIFICATIONS NO. 219 OF SAID CITY.

6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS, on the 17th day of December,. 1957,. at 2 o.lclock
8 p.m.s seaLed bids were opened for the construction of asphalt concrete
9 pavem ent resurfacing in Washington Boulevard west of Downey Road~ in
10 accordance with Specifications No. 219 of said City; and
11 WHEREAS. Vernon Paving Co. was the lowest bidder for said
12 work; and
13 WHEREASs under date of December 18,. 1957s Mason. Muntz&.
14 Associates, Consulting Engineers. recommended to the City Council that
15 the bid of V ernonPaving Go. be accepted;
16 NOW" THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
18 hereby accepts the bid of Vernon Paving Co. for the construction of asphaLt
19 concrete pavement resurfacing in Washington Boulevard west of Downey
20 Road and does hereby authorize the execution of a contract with saidcon,-
21 tractor for the doing of said work and furnishing of materials,. aU in
22 accordance with Specifications No. 2.19 heretofore approved.

SECTION 2:
That aU other bids are rejected,. and the
City Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return checks to all
unsuccessful bidders.
