RESOLUTION NO. 2118
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE FURNISHING OF ONE 1700:GALLON PER MINUTE
TRIPLE COMBINATION PUMPER IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICA-
TIONS NO. 210 OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS1 on April 30~ 1957. Crown Body & Coach Corporation
was awarded the contract for the furnishing and delivery of on~ 1750 gallon
per minute triple combination pumper inacco.rdance with Specifications
No. 210; and
WHEREAS. under date of December 31,. 19571 L. C. Husted,.
Fire Chief of the City of Vernon. reported to the City Council that said
equipment has been delivered in accordance with the contract and specifica-
tions,. and recommends that the equipment be accepted;
NOW.. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the furnishing and delivery of one 1750
gallon per minute triple combination pumper be. and the same is hereby
accepted as be.ing satisfactory and in accordance with .Specifications No. 210
heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
Tmit there is now due Crown Body & Coach
Corporation the sum of $27. 891.28# being 90% of the contract price plus
$1.186.86 sales tax.,. and the balance of $2.. 967.16 or 10% of the contract
price,. shall be paid after thirty-five days.
. SECTION 3:
The City Council of the City. af Vernon hereby
directs payment of $27.. 891.28 to Crown Body &. Coach Corporation upon the
adoption of this resolution and the balance. ar $2,. 967..16 thirty-five .(35) days
after the date of the adoption of this resolution.
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
