5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS .FOLLOWS.:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VE1\NON
AUTHORI.ZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACTS WITH TIDEWATER
OIL COMPANY FOR THE FURNISHING OF GASOLINE AND EQUIPMENT.
6 WHEREAS,.. Tidewater Oil Company has offered to furnish
7 the City with ga:s.aIineand bulk storage facilities therefor for use of the
8 police and fire departments; and
9 WHEREAS. the Fire Chief and the Police .Chief c>f the City of
10 Vernon have approved and recommend the ex.ecution of contracts with
11 Tidewater Oil Company for said gas.oline and equipment; and
12 WHEREAS~ the City Council of the Cityot Vernon finds that
13 it will be to the economic advantage of the City;
14 NOW, THEItEFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the Mayor be. and he is hereby
16 authorized to enter into contracts with TidewaterOiI Company for the sale
17 and delivery of gasoline for use of thePQ1:tce and Fire Departments and the
18 execution of an Equipment Lease for the furnishing of bulk st.orage facilities.

SECTION 2:
The CityCIerk of the City.of Vernon shall
20 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
21 same shall be in fuU farce and effect.
22 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 7th day of January. 1958.
