RESOLUTION NO. 2123
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF ASPHALT CONCRETE pAVEMENT
RESURFACING AND APPURTENANCES IN SOTO STREET SOUTH OF
4 FRUITLAND AVENUE AND NORTH OF SOUTH CITY BOUNDARY IN
ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 207 OF SAID CITY.

6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS~ o.nNo.vember 5. 1957. George Savala Paving Co. ,.
8 was awarded the co.ntract for the construction of asphalt concrete pavement
9 resurfacing and appurtenances in Soto Street south of Fruitland A venue and
10 north o.f south City boundary in accordance with Specifications No. 207 of
11 said City; and
12 WHEREAS. Mason. Muntz & AssociatesJO Consulting Engineers
13 o.f the CUy of V ernon.have reported to the City Council under date of
14 January 15~ 1958. that said contractor has completed the work in accordance
15 with Specifications No.. 207 in a satisfactory manner. and reco.mmend that
16 said work be accepted;
17 NOW I THEREFORE. BE IT .RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the co.nstruction of asphalt concrete
pavement resurfacing and appurtenances in Soto. Street south of FruitIand
Avenue and north o.f south City boundary be. and the same is hereby accepted
as being satisfactory and in accordance with Specifications No. 207 heretofore
approved by the City of Verno.n.
SECTION 2:
That there is now due George Savala Paving
Co. the sum of $2,532.57. being 90'0 of the contract price. and the balance
or 10% of the co.ntract price,. being the sum of $281.40 shall he paid after
thirty-five (35) days.
SECTION 3:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby directs payment o.f $2.532.57 to George Savala Paving Co. upon the
adoption of this resolution and the balance. or $281..40,. thirty-five (35)
days after the date of the ado.ptio.n o.f this reso.lution.
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and ~ffect.
