RESOLUTION NO. 2132

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 I DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF TRANSMISSION MAIN AND
4 RATE OF FLOW CONTROL PIPING FOR OBTAINING WATER FROM
METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA IN
5 ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 209 OF SAID CITY.
6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
SECTION 1:
8 here'hy'{jIlrected to give notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the
9 construction of transmission main and rate-of-flow control piping~ in
10 accordance with Specifications No. 209 of said City,. approved by Resolution
11 No. 2131. and the Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals contained in said
12 Specifications No. 2.09.

SECTION 2:
There being no newspaper of general circula-
14 don printed, published and circulated in the City of Vernon,. the City .Clerk
15 is hereby directed to post said notice. or cause the same to be posted... in
16 three (3) of the most public places in said City. to wit: The northwest cor-
17 ner .of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast corner of Leonis
18 Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard,.. and on the bulletin hoard in the lobbyaf
19 the City Hall of the City of Vernon,. located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in s.aid
20 City.

SECTION 3:
The first posting of said notice shall be not
22 less than ten (10) days before the date of opening bids for the proposed

construction. The notice shall distinctly state the work to be done.
SECTION 4:

The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and .effect.
