A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VER;NON

4 IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 216 AND PLANS NO.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY .oF VERNON RESOLVES AS FaLLowS:
7 WHEREAS~ on March 18~ 1958~ sealed bids were opened for
8 the construction of five new houses and relocation of one existing house in
9 accordance with Specifications No. 216 and Plans No. B..15-1458; and
10 WHEREAS I said bids were referred to Mason.. Muntz&.
11 Associates and the Building Departmentl who have reported to the City
12 Council under date of .March 261 19581 giving recommendations; and
13 WHEREAS~ said Specifications No. 216 and plans were hereto...
14 fore approved by the City Council by Resolution No. 2134 on February 181
15 1958; and
16 WHEREAS I Masonl Muntz &. Associates recommend awarding
17 the contract to H. &. lJ. Construction Company for the sum of $671109. 5.0
18 being the lowest bid received meeting the specification requirements;
19 NOW. THEREFORE" BE ITE,ESOLVED:

That the City Council of the City of Vernon
SECTION 1:
21 does hereby authorize the execution of a contract with H. &. U. Construction
22 Company for the c.onstruction of five new hous.es and relocating one house
23 at Fruittand and Vernon Avenues in the City of Vernon~ in accordance with
24 Specifications No. 216 and Plans No. B-15-1458~ heretofore approved by
25 the City Council.

That al1 other bids are rejectedl and the
City Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks to
unsucceasful bidders.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
