RESOLUTION NO. 2154
A RESOLUTION OF THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
APPOINTING VINCENT R. P040N AS CITY ATTO:a.NEY ~FIXING. IUS
SALARY~ AND ESTABLISIDNG THE COST OF OFFICE FACILITIES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS. Carson B. Hubbard, City Attorney of the City of
Vernon. has resigned from that office as of the close of business on
April 30. 1958; and
WHEREAS. Vincent R. poxon haS been Assistant City Attorney
for approximately three years and is familiar .with the work of that office;
and
WHEREAS, said Vincent R. poxon is willing to accept the office
of City Attorney and furnish office facilities for the City Attorney and a
staff, for an .amount certain.
NOW~ THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That Vincent R.Poxon is herebyapp.ointed
17 City Attorney of the City of Vernon and shall receive a salary of Sixteen
18 I Hundred Dollars ($.t, 600. (0) per month as City Attorney, and ia hereby
19 allowed the further sum of Fourteen Hundred Dollars ($1. 400.(0) per month
20 for maintaining office facilities for the City Attorney and his staff. both
21 to be effective as of May 1. 1958.

SECTION 2:
Vincent R. Poxon is to supply office facilities.
23 for the City Attorney and his staff, and the aforesaid salary is not to include
24 cost of Special Counselor Associate Counsel in cases where the City
25 Council approves such employment.

SECTION 3:
Al1 resolutions. or parts of resolutions. in.
conflict herewith are hereby repealed..
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
