A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
FINDING THAT A PORTION OF 30TH STREET IN THE CIn OF VERNON
IS UNNECESSARY FOR .PRESENT OR PR.OSPECTIVE PUBLIC STREET
PIIRPO$ESAND ORDERING ITS VACATION AND ABANDONMENT..

6 THE CIn COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON R.ESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS. the City Council of the City of Vernon passed
8 Ordinance No. 712 declaring its intention to vacate and abandon a portion
9 of that certainpubllc street in the City of Vernon officially known, and
10 i commonly referred to. as 30th Street. which said portion is hereinafter
11 fully described; and
12 WHEREAS. the City Council in said Ordinance of Intention No.
13 712 did fix the tim.e for hearing all persons: interested in or objecting to
14 the proposed vacation and abandonment a.sApril15. 1958 at2 o'clock p.m.,
15 in the Council Cha:mbers of the City Hall in the City of Vernon.. 4305 Santa
16 Fe Avenue. Vernon, California; and
17 WHEREAS, notices of said hearing and of the prOposed street
18 vacation were posted in the manner and form required by law; and
19 WHEREAS. the City Council of said City of Vernon did hold
20 said hearing on~pril15,. 1958 at 2:00 o'clockp.m.. in the Council Chambers
21 of the City Hall. 4305 Santa: Fe Avenue.. Vernon. California. and no one appear
22 ing to obje.ct tosa1d vacation and the Council being fully advised inthe matter;

SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does !ineland declare from the evidence submitted to the City Council that
the property described in Ordinance of Intention lIlo. 712" afi( h~reinafter
described" is unnecessary for present or prospective publicstre.et purposes.
SECTION 2:
'1' h.e City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby make the following order. to wit: that all that portion of 30thStreet~
forme rly Bethel Street" inthe City of Vernon~ described as follows:
That portion of 30th Street (formerly Bethel Street)~ in
the City of Vernon. County of Los Angeles. State . of California~
as per map of Day Star Tract recorded in Book 25 at Page 66

said County, described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Block J; thence
easterly to the northwest corner of Block K, thence continuing
easterly along the n.orth line .of said Block K to the. n.ortheast
corner of s:aid Block 1(, thence northeasterly along the east
Une oisaid Day Star Tract t.o the southeast corner of Block G;
thence westerly along thesouthUne of said Block G t.o the
southwest corner of s.aid Block G, thence continuing westerly
to the southeast corner of Block H; thence southerly to the
point of beginning.

13 recorded in the Qcffice of the County RecQrder of Los .Angeles County.

SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
15 certify to the passage of this res olutl on and thereupon and thereafter the
16 s:a.me shall be in full force and effect.
