A RESQLUTIONOF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
APPROVING MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT BETWEEN .sAID CITY AND
VARIOUS OTHER CITIES AND COUNTY TERRITORY IN THE 1ST

REGION. ANJ) REPEALING ALL RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VER.NON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
8 WHEREAS.. legal authorization has been granted by legislative
9 enactment (Cha.pter 3'23.. Statutes of lS4.1..and Chapter 1.. Statutes of 1942)
10 whereby the City of Vernon may cooperate with other political entities
11 when an emergency exists;
12 NOW.. THEREFORE. BE 1'1' RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That pursuant to the provisions of Chapter
14 323.. Statutes of 1941 and Chapter 1.. Statutes: of 194.2" the Fire Chief of
15 the City of Vernon" or in his absence or inability to act then his authorized
16 representative be.. and he is: hereby authorized and directed to use the
17 equipment and personnel of the Department" or the pers:onnelof the City of
18 Vernon Fire Department under his .superviston or control.. or. such part
19 thereof.. as and when he may deem it necessary-or advisable.. for the pur-
20 pose of cooperating with the Fire Depa.rtmentsof the following cities.:

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THEf
CITY OF SANTA FE SPRINGS PROVIDING FOR
MUTUAL AID OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
SERVICE. I
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA FE SPRINGS DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: ThatpuS'suant to the provisions of O:la.pter323,
Statqtesof 1941, and Chapter I, Statutes of 1942, the Fire Chief
ofth~ City of Santa Fe Springs ,or in his absence or inability to
act, then his authorized representative be, and be is bereby
authorized and directed to use the equipment and personnel of
bis Department, or tbeequipment and personnel of the City of
Santa Fe Springs Fire Department under his supervision o%,
control, or such part thereof as and wben be deems it necessary
or advisable, for the purpose of cooperating with the Fh-e
Departments of the following cities: Huntington Park, South Gate._
Bell, Vernon, Maywood, Montebello, Compton, ~d, Whittier
Downey, and the unincorporated territory of Los Angeles County,
or the Fire Department of any neighboring city of county within
the 1 st Regional District of the State of California, Civil Defense
RegioJ:1, m the event of an em"el"geJ:1cy.
SECTION 2: Tbe mutual aid authority by Section 10f thi. resolution
shall be given provided that such other municipality 0:1'_ county fire
distrlci.sball bave made a similar reciprocal agreement to furnish
"1IunUar service to the City of Santa Fe Springs under like conditions,
such ar.rangement to be evidenced either by a certified copY of a
resolution or ordiJ:1ance of its legislative body substantially the
same as. this resolutioJ:1, .01' by other appropriate written evidence
of su.ch arrangem.ent :filed with the Cbief.of the Fire .Depa.rtrnent of
the City of Santa Fe Springs.
SEC TION 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of tbi.s
resolution.
