A RESOLU'rION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING AN EASEME1'IT DEED FROM GENERAL PETROLEUM.
CORPORATION TO A PORTION OF JEWEL AVENUE IN THE CITY OF
VERNON.
TlIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS. the General Petroleum Corporation has granted to
the City of Vernon an easement for the cQnstruction and maintenance ot an
18 ""'inch sewerpfpe line in. under. along and acros sJewel Avenue.. in the
City of Vernon. more particularly described as:
Beginning at a point on the South line of 37th Street.
distant N 890 02' E.. 22.00 feet from the Northeast
corner of Tract 3226.. as per m.a.p recorded at Page
20 in Book 3Q. of Maps.. in the office of the Recorder
of Los Angeles County.. California; thence S 20 21 ' 20"
E.. along a line parallel to the Easterly line of said
Tract.. 328.95 feet to a point on the prolongation of the
South line of said Tract,i
and
WHEREAS.. said description has been. checked by the Engineering
Department of the City of Vernon.. and said deed has been approved as to
form by Vincent R. Pox on.. City Attorney. and recommends that saId Deed
be accepted;
NOWa THEREFORE. BE l'l'RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
The City CouncU of the City of Vernon
hereby accepts the aforesaid Easement from General Petroleum Corporation..
together with the property eMlveyed thereby.. and directs the recording of said
Deed with the County Recorder of Los Angeles County.. California.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.

Herewith are duplicate originals of proposed agreement
dated January 21, 1958 whereby the General Petroleum Corp-
oration grants a right-of-way and easement to the City of
Vernon to construct and operate a sewer line in the portion
of Jewel Avenue (Pvt. St.) owned by General Petroleum.
These documents have been reviewed by !vIr. Vincent R.
Poxon, City Attorney, and are submitted for your acceptance.
It is recommended that this easement be accepted and
returned to General Petroleum Corporation for their signature
and subsequent recordation.
