RESOLUTION NO. 2184
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING TWO DIAPHRAGM-TYPE VALVES FROM GRINNELL
COMPANY OF THE PACIFIC. IN ACCORDANCE WITH SCHEDULE IV
OF SPECIFICATIONS NO. 208 HERETOFORE APPROVED BY THE
CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS~ on March 18~ 1958.. the Grinnell Company of the
8 Pacific was awarded the contract for Schedule IV of Specifications No. 208"
10 WHEREAS" Arthur E. Nelson~ Jr.~ City Engineer~ has reported
9 for the furnishing of two diaphragm-type valves; and
11 to the City Council under date of June 20" 1958.. that said.valves have been
12 delivered in a satisfactory manner.. and recommends that said valves be

13 accepted and payment made in accordance with the terms of the contract;
14 NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That two diaphragm -type valves be~ and
16 the same are hereby accepted as being satisfactory and in accordance with
17 Schedule IV of Specifications No. 208 heretofore approved by the City of
18 Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That there is now due the Grinnell Company
20 of the Pacific the sum of $1~ 768. 92" being the contract price of said valves~
21 and the City Council hereby directs payment of said sum to said Company
22 upon the adoption of this Resolution.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
