RESOLUTION NO. 2187
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF NICK TOMOVICH & SON FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE VERNON-ALCOA RELIEF SEWER IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFI-
CATlONS NO. 22a,AND ENGINEERIS PLANS NOS. Al-1471 CONSISTING OF
THREE (3) SHEETS AND A1-1472 CONSISTING OF FIVE (5) SHEETS~.
HERETOFORE APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS~ Specifications No. 220 and Engineers Drawings
were approved by the City Council by Resolution No. 2178 on June 4.. 1958
and pursuant thereto sealed bids were opened on July 1~ 1958; and
WHEREAS.. said bids were referred to the City Engineer who
has reported to the City Council under date of July 7.. 1958 recommending
that said contract be awarded to Nick Tomovich & Son, for the sum of
$207.. 869. 00 being the lowest bid received meeting the specification require-
ments;
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED:
SECT ION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award the contract in accordance with the City Engineer's
recommendations and authorizes the execution of a contract withNick
Tomovich & Son, for the construction of the Vernon-Alcoa Relief Sewer in
accordance with Specifications No. 220 and Engineerts Plans Nos. Al-1471
consisting of three (3) sheets and A1-1472 consisting of five (5) sheets..
heretofore approved by the City Council.
SECT ION 2:
That all other bids are rejected, and the
City Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks, drafts
or bonds to unsuccessful bidders.
SECT ION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
