RESOLUTION NO. 2188
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF MATTJ. VUKOJEVICH & JOHN KORDICH.
JOINT VENTURE. FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SEWERS IN SOTO
STREET ... IN 37TH STREET. AND IN JEWEL AVENUE (A pRN ATE
STREET). IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 223 AND
ENGINEERtS PLANS NOS. AI-1463 CONSISTING OF ONE (1) SHEET..
AI-1464 CONSISTING OF ONE (1) SHEET. AND Al-1465 CONSISTING
OF THREE (3) SHEETS.. HERETOFORE APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
9 WHEREAS.. Specifications No. 223 and Engineers Drawings were
10 approved by the City Council by Resolution No. 2180 on June 4.. 1958" and
11 pursuant thereto sealed bids were opened on July 1" 1958; and
12 WHEREAS.. said bids were referred to the City Engineer who
13 has reported to the City Council under date of July 7.. 1958.. recommending
14 that said contract be awarded to Matt J. Vukojevich & John Kordich.. joint
15 venture... for the sum of $85" 151. 00.. being the lowest bid received meeting
16 the specification requirements;
17 NOW... THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
19 does hereby award the contract in accordance with the City Engineer's
20 recommendations and authorizes the execution of a contract with Matt J.
21 Vukojevich & John Kordich.. joint venture.. for the construction of sewers
22 in Soto Street.. in 37th Street" and in Jewel Avenue (a private street) in
23 accordance with Specifications No. 223 and Engineer's Plans Nos. AI-1463
24 consisting of one (1) sheet.. AI-1464 consisting of one (1) sheet.. and AI-1465
25 consisting of three (3) sheets... heretofore approved by the City Council.

SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected.. and the
City Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks.. drafts
or bonds to unsuccessful bidders.
SECT ION 3 :
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the

1 same shall be in full force and effect.
2 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 15th day of July,. 1958.
