RESOLUTION NO. 2193
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE CITY TREASURER TO TRANSFER
MONIES FROM THE VERNON CITY GENERAL FUND TO THE VERNON
LIGHT AND POWER ACQUISITION AND IMPROVEMENT FUND.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS.. there are certain monies in the Vernon City General
8 Fund not otherwise allocated; and
9 WHEREAS.. the City Clerk advises that there is in excess of
10. $2,000.. 000.00 in the General Fund available for transfer; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council finds it advisable to transfer the sum
12 of $2.. 000, 000. 00 from the General Fund to the Vernon Light and Power
13 Acquisition and Improvement Fund for the purpose of constructing or acquiring
14 facilitieg.and appurtenancess including lands and rights-of-way necessary
15 therefors for the generation and/ or transmission and/ or distribution of
16 electrical energy and power to the City of Vernon and its inhabitants,
17 I industries and consumers;
18 NOW. THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
The City Treasurer is hereby authorized and
20 directed to transfer from the General Fund to the Vernon Light and Power
21 I Acquisition and Improvement Fund the sum of $2,000.000.00.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall

certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
