SECTION 1:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
8 hereby directed to give notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the
9 furnishing and delivery to the City of Vernon of one accounting ma:c.hine and
10 accessories in accordance with Specifications No. 224.

SECTION 2:
There being no newspaper of general circula:-
12 tion printed, pub1ifThed and circulated in the City of Vernon, the City Clerk
13 is hereby directed to pOfTt s.aid notice. or cause the same to be posted.>" in
14 three (3) of the most public places in gaid city.. to wit: the northwest
15 corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast corner of Leonis
16 Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard. and on the bulletin board in the lobby of
17 the City Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in
18 said City.

SECTION 3:
The first posting of said notice shall be not
less than ten (10) d..ays before the date of opening bids for the proposed
equipment. The notice shall distinctly state the equipment to be purchased.
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City Qf VernQn shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution. and thereupon and thereafter the
same shan be in ful1 force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 5th day of August, 1958.

8 sealed proposals will be received by the City of V ernon..at the City Clerk.S
9 offlce of sa:id City.. 4305 Santa.. Fe Avenue.. Vernon 581 Ca1ifornia:.. until 2:00
10 o'clock p. m... on the 19th day of August, 1958.. for the furnishing and delivery
11 to the City of Vernon of one accounting machine andacces:sories to.be used
12 in the office of the City Clerk of said City.. in accordance with Specifica.tions
13 No. 2.24 a:pproved by gaid. City. The proposals will be publicly opened and
14 read in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, located at 4305 Sallta .Fe
15 Avenue.. Vernon.. California... on the date and at the time above-mentioned.
16 Specifications and contract documents may be obtained at the above...
17 mentioned office of the City Clerk..- upon payment of a deposit of ten dol1ars
18 ($10. 00) for each specification.

ACCEPTANCE OR REJECTION
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and accept
any bid which in its judgment will produce the most satisfactory and econ.omica
result..- suited to the requirements of the Office of the City Clerk of said City.
The bidder is required to specify the proposed date of delivery
and the City Counci1shall take into consideration in awarding the contract,
the time required for the delivery of said new accounting ma.chineand
accessories.
