RESOLUTION NO. 2197
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE. CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS::

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
8 hereby orders that R. J. Furlong be, and he is hereby authorized. and
9 directed to execute ()n behalf of the City of Vernon that certain Warehouse
10 Issue Sheet. IIR-3874 between the City of Vernon<lnd the St.ateof California..
11 St.ate Educational Agency for Surplus Property. relating to the personal
12 property therein described is annexed hereto" marked Exhibit f'A'" and
13 made a part hereof.. and that the City of Vernonagree.s thereby to be bound
14 by aU the provisions" transfers, terms" conditions" restrictions, re.serva-
15 tions" and covenants therein set forth.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon.sha1l
17 certify to the passage of this Resolution" and thereupon and thereafter the
18 same shall be in fut1 force and effect.

Honorable Members:
Attached is Invoice No. R 3874, in duplicate, covering one
Generator Set, Skid Mounted, with acquisition cost of $9,000.00, fair
vaule of $5,000.00, cost of this item to the City of Vernon will be
10% of fair value, or $500.00. Billing and material is being held
for special resolution.
Since this item had a government acquisition cost of $9,000.00,
Federal regulations require that any merchandise having a government
acquisition cost of $2,500.00 or over shall be donated only after
the governing board has accepted the donation by adopting a resolution.
It is, therefore, respectfully requested that the attached resolution
be adopted in order that we may proceed in our action to acquire thts
generator.
