A RESOLUTION OF T.HE CITY COUNCIl.. OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTING AN :&A$El(ENT FROM AMERICAN CAN COMPANY AN;])
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION THEREOF BY THE MAYORAN'l)

THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES. AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS, the Am erican Can Company has granted to the City
8 of Vernon and Southern: California Edison Company..- an. easement to construct,
9 use, maintain, repai r.. replace and./or remove guy wires for the support of
10 a pole and appurtenant electrlcal facilities to be attached to its bui1ding; and
11 WHEREAS,. CartA. Heinze, Consulting Electrical Engineer,
12 has recommended tb.atsaid .E.asement be executed by the Mayor and City
13 Clerk.
14 NOW. THEREFORE.. BE ITRESOL YEn:

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
16 a.ccepts the aforesaid Easement from the American Can Company.. together
17 with the property conveyed thereby.. and hereby authorizes the Mayor and
18 City Clerk to execute said Easement on behalf of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shal1
20 certify to the pas. sage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the
211 same shall be infu.11 force and effect.
22 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 5th day of August, 1958.

Dear Vincent:
I am enclosing a grant of easement executed by the
.American Can Company granting the right to the City of Vernon
and Southern California Elison Company to attach to their
building guy wires for the SI1pport of a pole and appurtenant
electrical. facilitie s.
This easement was obtained by the Southern
California Edison Company in the operation of the City's
Electrical System under lease to tlat Company.
I am referring thi s matter to you for approval as
to form and, if you find it in order, I v.ould appreciate your
preparing the necessar.r papers to provide for execution of
this Agreemm t on behalf of the C1 ty by the Jlayor and Ci ty
Clerk.
I can see no objection myself but this is the fi .rat
Agreement that I have had wherein ooth the City and the
Edison Co. were joined in the grant.
