RESOLUTION NO. 2199
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF ERNEST C. COLLINS CO. FOR THE. CON-
STRUCTION OF THE PACIFIC BOULEVARD WATER MAIN AND
APPURTENANCES. FROM SANTA FE AVENUE TO FRUITLAND AVENUE.
IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 222 AND ENGINEERrs
PLAN NO. B4B-1493 CONSISTING OF ONE (1) SHEET. HERETOFORE
APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE. CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHE'REAS" Specifications No. 222 and Engineer's PlanNo.
B4B-1493 were approved by the City Council by Resolution No.. 2191 on
July 15" 195,8 and pursuant thereto sealed bids were opened on August 5,
1958; and
WHEREAS.. said bids were referred to the City Engineer who has
reported to the City Council under date of August 6.. 1958, recommending
that a contract be awarded to Ernest C. Col1ins Co... for the sum of
$40,261. 75" it being the lowest bid received meeting the specification
requirem ents ;
NOW.t THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award the contract in accordance with the City Engineer's
recommendations and authorizes the execution of a contract with Ernest C.
Collins Co." for the construction of water main and appurtenances in Pacific
Boulevard.. from,S.anta Fe Avenue to Fruitland Avenue" in accordance with
Specifications No. 222 and Engineerts Plan No. B4B-:1493" consisting of
one (1) sheet..- heretofore approved by the City Council.
SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected" and the
City Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks' or drafts
to unsuccessful bidderS.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this ResolUtion and thereupon and thereafter the
