6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF THE NATIONAL CASH REGISTER COMPANY
FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF ONE ACCOUNTING MACHINE
AND ACCESSORIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 224
AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A PURCHASE ORDER THEREFOR.
7 WHEREAS, Specifications No. 224 were approved by the City
8 Council on August 5, 1958 and pursuant thereto sealed bids were opened on
9 August 19.. 1958; and
10 WHEREAS" said bids were referred to the City Clerk who
11 reported to the City Council on August 20" 1958 recommending that the bid
12 of The National Cash Register Company for the sum of $7,311. 20 be accepted;
13 NOW~ THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby accept the bid of The National Cash Register Company for the fur-
nishing and delivery of one accounting machine and accessories in accordance
with Specifications No. 224.. and hereby authorizes the City Clerk to issue
a purchase order for said equipment in accordance with said Specifications
No. 224.
SECT ION 2:
That all other bids are rejected, and the

City Clerk is. hereby instructed and directed to return all checks and drafts

to unsuccessful bidders.
SECT ION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED at an adjourned regular meeting
this 26th day of August, 1958.
