RESOLUTION NO. 2210
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTING SIX LUBRICATED PLUG VALVES FROM GRINNELL
COMPANY OF THE PACIFIC IN ACCORDANCE WITH SCHEDULE III OF
4 SPECIFICATIONS NO. 208 AND ADDENDUM NO. 1 TO SAID SPECIFICA-
TIONS. HERETOFORE APPROVED BY THE CITY OF VERNON.

6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS". on March 18.. 1958. Grinnell Company of the
8 Pacific was awarded the contract for Schedule ill of Specifications No. 208
9 for the furnishing of six lubricated plug valves; and
10 WHEREAS. Arthur E. Nelson. Jr... City Engineer. has reported
11 to the City Council under date of August 27. 1958. that said items have been
12 delivered in a satisfactory manner. and recommends that said valVes be
13 accepted and payment made in ac.cordance with the terms of the contract;

14 NOW ~ THEREFORE. BE IT RESOL YED:
That six lubricated plug valves be.. and the
S.ECTION 1:
16 same are hereby accepted as being satisfactory and in accordance with
17 Schedule ill of Specifications No. 208. and Addendum No. 1 to said Specifica-
18 tions, heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That there is now due Grinnell Company of the
20 Pacific the sum of $5.. 765. 86.. being the contract price of said valves.. and
21 the City Council hereby directs payment of said sum to said Company upon
22 the adoption of this Resolution.

SECT ION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certif
to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROYED this 2nd day of September.. 1958.
