3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE. MORTAR LINE.D AND COATED STEEL PIPE FROM
4 U. S. INDUSTRlES.INCORPORATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SCHEDULE
I-B OF SPECIFICATIONS NO. 208 AND ADDENDUM NO. 1 TO SAID
5 SPECIFICATIONS. HERETOFORE APPROVED BY THE CITY OF VERNON.
RESOLUTION NO. 2211
6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS. on March 18. 1958, U. S. Industries"," Incorporated.
8 was awarded the contract for Schedule I-B of Specifications No. 208 for the
9 furnishing of mortar lined and coated steel pipe; and
10 . WHEREAS. Arthur E. Nelson.. Jr.. City Engineer. has reported
11 to the City Council under date of August 27. 1958. that said pipe has been
12 delivered in a satisJactory manner. and recommends that said pipe be
13 accepted and payment made in accordance with the terms of the contract;
14 NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVE]):

SECTION 1:
That the mortar lined and coated steel pipe
be. and the same is hereby accepted as being satisfactory and in accordance
with Schedule I-B of Specifications No. 208 and Addendum No. 1 to said
Specifications"," heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That there is now due U. S. Industries. In-
corporated.. the sum of $:i9.. 835. 55. being 90% of the total value of the material
delivered.. and the sum of $4.426.17 sha11 be paid in thirty (30) days from the
date of the passage of this Resolution.. and the City Clerk is directed to pay
said sums to U. S. Industries.. Incorporated.
SECT ION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 2nd day of September.. 1958.
