3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION QF FOUR NEW THR..EE-BED:R.OOM
4 HOUSES ON FRUITLAND AVENUE" AT PUMPING PLANT NO.3. AND
ONE TWO-BEDROOM HOUSE ON VERNON A VENUE. AT PUMPING
5 PLANT NO.2.. rN ACCORDANCE WITH SPEC;rFICATIONS NO. 216 OF
SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS..- H. & U. Construction Company was awarded the
contraet for the construction of municipal houses in accordance with
Specifications No. 216 and Change.Orders Nos. 1 and 2; and
WHEREAS. Mason. Muntz & Associates.. Architects and Engineers.
have reported to the City Council under date of October 6. 1958. that said
contractor has completed the construction of said houses in accordance with
141 Specifications No. 216 and Change Orders 1 and 2, in a satisfactory manner..

and recommends that said work be accepted;
NOW.. THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the construction of four new three-bedroom
houses on Fruitland Avenue.. at PumpingP1ant No.3. and one two-bedroom
house on Vernon Avenue at Pumping Plant No. 2 be, and the same are hereby
accepted as being satisfactory and inacco:rdance with Specifications No. 216
and Change Orders Nos. 1 and 2. heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That there is now dueH. & U. Construction
Company the sum of. $4. 459.81.. making 90% of the contract price having
been paid.. and the balance.. or 10% of the contract price.. being the sum of
$6, 724. 25 shall be paid after thirty-five (35) days.. and the City Council
directs payment of said sum s upon the adoption of this resolution and. 35 days
after the adoption of this resolution.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Verp.on shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
