2238
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTING TEN (10) PORTABLE F-M TWO-WAY RADIOPHONES FROM
MOTOROLA COMMUNICATIONS AND ELECTRONICS.. INC... IN
4 ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 2.26 HERETOFORE APPROVED
BY THE CITY OF VE.RNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS. on October 7. 1958" Motorola Communications and
Electronics, Inc. was awarded the contract for the furnishing a.nd delivery
of Ten (10) Portable F-M Two-Way Radiophones in accordance with
Specifications No. 226, to be used by the Office of Civil Defense; and
WHEREAS, G. G. Skalsky# Assistant Director of Civil Defense,
has reported to the City Council under date of December 31. 1958, that said
equipment has been received in a satisfactory manner. and that payment
should be made in accordance with the contract;
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That ten (10) Portable F-M. Two-Way R.adio-
phones be" and the same are hereby accepted as being satisfactory arid in
accordance with Specifications No. 226, heretofore approved by the City of
Yernon.
SECTION 2:
That there is now due Motorola Communications
and Electronics. Inc. the sum of $3,695.33 being 90'0 of th.e contract price"
and the balance of $410.59 is due thirty-five (35) days thereafter. and the
City Council hereby directs paym.ent of said sum to said Company upon the
adoption of this Resolution" and the balance thirty-five (35) days thereafter.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
