RESOLUTION NO. 2246
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SEWERS IN SOTO STREET~
IN 37TH STREET AND IN JEWEL AVENUE (A PRIVATE STREET)" IN
4 ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 223 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

7 WHEREAS, on July 15" 1958, Matt J. Vukojevich & John Kordich,
8 joint venture", was awarded the contract for the construction of sewers in
9 Soto Street. in 37th Street and in Jewell Avenue (a private street); and
10 WHEREAS. Arthur E. Nelson# Jr. City Engineer" has reported
11 to the City Council under date of February 5, 1959# that said work has been
12 completed in accordance with Specifications No. 223. and recommends that
13 said work be accepted and payment made in accordance with the terms of
14 the contract;
15 NOW" THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECT ION 1:
That the construction of sewers in Soto Street#
17 in 37th Street and in Jewel Avenue (a private street) be# and the same is
18 hereby accepted as being satisfactory and in accordance with Specifications
19 No. 223 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of
21 this resolution there will be due Matt J. Vukojevich & John Kordich, joint
22 venture" the sum of $13.033.35. being the remaining fifteen percent of the
23 contract price. That the City Council hereby directs payment of said sum to
24 said parties thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this Resolution.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
26 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
27 same shall be in full force and effect.
