RES.OLUTION NO. 2.2.68
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 URGING THE PASSAGE OF ASSEMBLY BILL 156.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS~ Assembly Bi11156 has been introduced; and
7 WHEREAS, the effect of thi$' Assembly Bill would coordinate
8 local and school district planning of fire protection~ sewer, water, traffic
9 and other service demands; and
10 WHE:REAS, the passage of this bill would not materially change
11 the procedure under whi.ch school distri.cts and local governing bodies
12 have until recently operated;
13 NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVE}):

SECTION 1:
It is respectfully urged that Assembly Bill
15 156 be adopted by the Legislature of this State~ as to do so would be in
16 the best interests of the local governing bodies and the school districts of
17 California.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon s:ha.1l
19 cert.ify to thea.doption of this resoluti.on and cause a certified copy thereof
20 to be forwarded to Assemblyman George Willson, the Los Angeles County
21 Division of the League of California Cities, the L.eagueof California Cities~
22 State Senator Richard Richards~ Supervisor Frank Bonelli, and such other
23 persons as the City Council may desire.
