RESOLUTION NO. 2271
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE
LOS ANGELES JUNCTION RAILWAY. ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF VERNO
4 FOR THE INSTALLATTONOF GRADE CROSSING PROTECTION DEVICES.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

7 , WHEREAS, under date of May 14. 1959. D. D. Grayson. Traffic
8 Engineer. recommended to the City Council that grade crossings of the
9 Los Angeles Junction Railway Company on Downey Road at the first rail
10 crossing south of Vernon Avenue should be protected with grade crossing
11 signals; and
12 WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to install Such
13 I signals;
14 I N"OW. THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the Mayor be, and he is hereby authorized
to execute on behalf of the City of Vernon that certain agreement between
the Los Angeles Junction Railway Company and the City of Verrton dated
April 1, 1959, heretofore submitted.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
20 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
211 same shall be in full force and effect.
