RESOLUTION NO. 2272
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN AN APPLICA-
TION TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA FOR ALLOCATION FROM CROSSING PROTECTION FUND.
THE CITY COUNCIL ,OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS~ under date of May 14, 1959~ D. D. Grayson, Traffic
Engineer, recommended to the City Council that application be made to the
Public Utilities Commission for allocation of funds to install light signals
at Crossing No. 25-0. 10-C located on Downey Road at the first rail crossing
south of Vernon Avenue in the City of Vernon; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon deems it
advisable to install such signals;
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are
hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the City of Vernon, all
neceSSary documents of the City of Vernon to the Public Utilities Commission
for allocation of funds from the Crossing. Protection Fund, in accordance
with the procedure established by said Commission.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shalt be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 19th day of May, 1959.
