3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH RODDING -
4 CLEANING MACHINES. INC., FOR CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
SERVICE OF SEWER LINES IN THE CITY OF VERNON.

6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS, the Agreement heretofore entered into with Rodding-
8 Cleaning Machines, Inc. for the cteaning and maintenance of sewerS in the
9 City of Vernon expires on July 1, 1959; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable to enter into a
11 new two-year contract with said firm for such service; and
12 WHEREAS, the City Attorney of the City of Vernon has prepared
13 an Agreement which is approved as to form;

14 NOW.. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECT ION 1:
That the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they are
16 hereby authorized to enter into a two-year contract with Rodding-Cleaning
17 Machines, Inc.. for complete cleaning and cleaning maintenance service of
18 sewer lines of the City of Vernon at a contract price of $12,476. 16 per year.
19 plus any payment over $40. 00 a day to Los Angeles Transit Lines during the
20 period neceSsary to clean the 36" sewer in Vernon Avenue between Santa Fe
21 Avenue and Alameda Street.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and ApPROVED this 2nd day of June. 1959.
