APPROVING MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT FOR ACCUMULATION
4 OF THE GAS TAX ALLOCATION TO CITIES.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS, a memorandum of agreement has been presented
8 to be entered into with the State of California for accumulation of the gas
9 tax allocation to cities for the fiscal year 1960 in the City of Vernon; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council has heard read said agreement
11 in full and is familiar with the contents thereof;
12 NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon resolves
14 that, under the provisions of Section 200 of the Streets and Highways Code,
15 the gas tax allocated for major city streets be accumulated for future ex-
16 penditure, and that said agreement be and the same is hereby approved,
17 and the Mayor and City Clerk are directed to sign the same on behalf of said
18 City, said agreement to be binding upon the City upon its execution by the
19 authorized officials of the State.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
211 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the

22 same shall be in full force and effect.
23 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 2nd day of June, 1959.
