A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 231 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE 37TH
STREET WATER MAIN FROM SANTA FE A VENUE TO SOTO STREET IN
4 THE CITY OF VERNON. AND DETERMINING THE GENERAL PREVAIL-
ING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS, Arthur E. Nelson, Jr., City Engineer, has presented
8 to the City Council Contract No. 231 for the construction of afourteen~inch
9 cast iron water main in 37th Street between Santa Fe Avenue and Soto Street;
10 and
11 WHEREAS,. the City Council of the City of Vernon has investigated
12 the general prevailing rate of per diem wages to be paid for the work done
13 under said Contract No. 231;
14 I NOW" THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That Contract No. 231 be, and the same is
16 hereby approved for the construction of a fourteen-inch cast iron water main
17 in 37th Street between Santa Fe Avenue and Soto Street in the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon has
ascertained and does hereby find and declare that the general prevailing rate
per diem for wages for laborers, workmen and mechanics employed by con-
tractors and subcontractors, for the doing of any work set forth in Contract
No. 231 are those wage rate schedules contained in said Contract No. 231.
SECTION 3:
Tl:!e City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
