3 A RESOLUTION OF TRE..CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN AN APPLICATION
4 TO THE PUBLIC UTILITmB COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
FOR ALLOCATION FROM GROSSING PROTECTION FUND.
RESOLUTION NO. 2296

6 THE..GITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

8 WHEREAS~ under date of July 28. 1959, David D. Grayson,
9 Traffic Engineer. recommended to the City Council that application be made
10 to the Public Utilities Commission for allocation of funds to install light
11 signals at Crossing No. 2H-0.3 located on 26th Street at the second rail
12 crossing east of Santa Fe Avenue in the City of Vernon; and
13 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon deems it
14 advisable to install such signals;
15 NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the Mayor and City Clerk be~ and they

17 are hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the City of Vernon. all
18 necessary documents of the City of Vernon to the Public Utilities Commission
19 for allocation of funds from the Crossing Protection Fund~ in accordance
20 with the procedure established by said Commission.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
22 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
23 sam e shall be in full force and effect.
