RESOLUTION NO. 2297
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
FINDING A PORTION OF EAST 45TH STREET IN THE CITY OF VERNON
UNNECESSARY FOR PRESENT OR PROSPECTIVE .PUBLIC STREET
PURPOSES AND ORDERING ITS VACATION AND ABANDONMENT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS1 the City Council of the City of V ernon did~ on the
21st day of July# 1959~ pass its Ordinance of Intention No. 726 declaring
its intention to vacate and abandon a. portion of that certain public street in
the City of Vernon officially known~ and commonly referred to~ as East 45th
St.reet, which said portion is hereinafter fully described; and
WHEREAS~ the City Council in said Ordinance of Intention No.
726 did. fix the time for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to
the proposed vaca.tion and abandonment as September 15~ 1959 at 2 o'clock
p. m., in the Council Chambera in the City Hall of the City of Vernon, 4305
Santa Fe Avenue; and
WHERE.AS~ notices of said hearing and of the proposed street
vacation were posted in the manner and form required by law; and
WHEREAS. the City Council of said City of Vernon did hold said
hear'ing on September 15, 1959 at 2 otclockp.mq in the Council Chambers
of the CitylUtll, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue~ and no one appearing to object to
said vacation~ and the Council being fully advised in the matter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does find and declare from the evidence subm.itted to the City Council that
the property described in Ordinance of Intention No. 726, as hereinafter
described~ is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes.
SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby make the following order. to wit:
That all that portion of 45th Street. described as: That portion
of Ea~t 45th street. 60 feet wide~ as shown oh jhe map of New Vernon Tract,
in the C\~ty of Vernon, County of Los Angeles~, State of California, as per map

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
9 cause a certified copy of this Resolution, under the sea.l of the City~ to be
10 recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Los Angele~ County~
11 California. being the county in which the said City of Vernon is located.

SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
13 certify to the passage of this Resolution a.nd thereupon and therea.fter the
14 same shall be in full fQrce and effect.
15 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 15th day of September. 1959.
