3 A RESOLUTIQN OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE WIDENING OF THE 26TH
4 STREET BRIDGE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS NO. 221
OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
RESOLUTION NO. 2304

6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
: I under date of October 6, 1959, have certified to the completion of the con-
WHEREAS.. Moffatt & Nichol. Inc. ~ Consulting Engineers..
9 struction of the widening of the 26th Street Bridge in accordance with
10 Specifications No. 221 of the City of Vernon; and
11 WHEREAS.. Arthur E. Nelson~ Jr. ~ City Engineer.. has
12 recommended that payment be made in accordance with said contract.
13 NOW~ THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the construction of the widening of the
15 26th Street Bridge be~ and the same is hereby accepted as being in accordance
16 with Specifications No. 221 and Drawings Nos. L-670-1 thru 8 heretofore
17 approved.

SECTION 2:
That there is now due John L. Meek Con-
19 struction Company~ Inc. ~ ninety percent (90%) of the contract price plus
20 authorized additions~ or the sum of $51~ 851. OO~ and the remaining ten
21 percent (10%).. or the sum of $5~ 761. 22~ is hereby directed to be paid
22 thirty-five days after the adoption of this Resolution.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
24 certify to the passage of this Resolution~ and thereupon and thereafter the
25 same shall be in full force and effect.
26 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 6th day of October.. 1959.
