RESOLUTION NO. 2312
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
3 DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS FOR THE FURNISHING AND DELIVERY TO THE CITY OF
4 VERNON OF ONE HIGH-PRESSURE FOAMI' MANIFOLD AND HOSE
CARRIER AND ACCESSORIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH SPECIFICATIONS
5 NO. 234 OF SAID CITY.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECT ION 1:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
9 directed to give notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the furnishing
10 and delivery to the City of Vernon of one High-Pressure Foam~ Manifold and
11 Hose Carrier and Accessories in accordance with Specifications No. 234., and
12 the Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals contained in said Specifications No. 234.

SECTION 2:
There being no newspaper of general cir-
14 culation printed. published and circulated in the City of Vernon., the City
15 Clerk is hereby directed to post said notice~ or cause the same to be posted.,
16 in three (3) of the most public places in said City~ to wit: the northwest
17 corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeast corner of Leonis
18 Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard., and on the bulletin board in the lobby of
19 the City Hall of the City of Vernon., located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in said
20 City.

The first posting of said notice shall be not
SECTION 3:
22 less than ten (10) days before the date of opening bids for the proposed
23 equipment. The notice shall distinctly state the equipment to be purchased.

SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
25 certify to the passage of this Resolution~ and thereupon and thereafter the
26 same shall be in full force and effect.
27 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 5th day of January~ 1960.

PRESSURE FOAM~ MANIFOLD AND HOSE
CARRIER AND ACCESSORIES IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CITY OF VERNON SPECIFICATIONS
NO. 234.
6 Pursuant to Resolution No. 2312 of the City Council of the City
7 of Vernon~ sealed proposals will be received by the City of Vernon~
8 California. at the City Clerk1s office of said City~ at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue"
9 Vernon 58~ California~ until 2 olclock P. M.. on January 19~ 1960~ for the
10 furnishing and delivery to the City of Vernon of one new High-Pressure foam~
11 manifold and hose carrier and accessories to be used in the Fire Department
12 of said City~ in accordance with Specifications No. 234 approved by said
13 City. The proposals will be publicly opened and read in the Council Chamber
14 of the City Hall located at 4305 Santa Fe Ave. ~ Vernon.. California. on the
15 date and at the time mentioned. Specifications and contract documents may
16 be obtained at the above mentioned office of the City Clerk upon payment of a
17 deposit of ten dollars ($10.00) for each specification.
18 The equipment t9 be furnished under said specifications is as
19 follows: One new high-pressure foam~ manifold and hose carrier and

ACCEPTANCE OR REJECTION
The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and accept
any bid which in its judgment will produce the most satisfactory and economic 1
result~ suited to the requirements of the Fire Department of said City.
The bidder is required to specify the proposed date of delivery
and the City Council shall take into consideration in awarding the contract~
the time required for the delivery of said new high-pressure foam~ manifold
and hose carrier and accessories.
SCHEDULE OF PROPOSALS
Each proposal must be delivered to the City Clerk of the City of
Vernon~ City Hall~ 4305 Santa Fe Avenue~ Vernon, California~ in sealed
envelopes~ at or before the time stated in this notice and must be plainly

BOND REQUIREMENT
All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check or
draft payable at a bank authorized to do business in the State of California,
payable at sight~ to the City Clerk of the City of Vernon~ in an amount equal
to ten percent (10%) of the bid submitted.
Unsuccessful bidders I checks will be returned when the contract
is awarded. The successful bidder1s check will be returned when the
contract is signed and faithful performance bond in an amount equal to one
hundred percent (IOOo/o.) of the contract price is furnished and approved.
